Health alert issued for salads, wraps from Kroger, Trader Joe’s, Walgreens due to parasite concern:

Consumers have been warned by federal health officials not to purchase over two dozen salad and wrap products available in major grocery chains due to concerns about possible parasite contamination.

On Monday, a public health alert issued by the US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service advised certain beef, pork and poultry salad and wrap products might be contaminated with cyclospora. The products were sold by grocery stores including Kroger, Trader Joe’s and Walgreens.

The cyclospora parasite causes intestinal illness as a result of consuming contaminated food or water. Symptoms can begin a week or more after consuming the parasite. They can include diarrhea and frequent, sometimes explosive bowel movements, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Those who are infected might also experience loss of appetite, weight loss, stomach cramps or pain, nausea, gas and fatigue. Vomiting, headache, fever, body aches and flu-like symptoms can also occur.

‘Wild’ Trump revives spirit of ’16 — but can it work a 2nd (and 3rd) time?:

No one knows better than President Donald Trump what worked for him in 2016, and now he’s going back to the well — trusting no one but himself — to stave off the threat of a Democratic rout in November that could cripple his presidency.

At a rowdy rally in Tampa, Florida, on Tuesday night that invigorated a crowd that booed Trump’s enemies like it was a wrestling bout, the President showed exactly why he’s itching to get back on the road for multiple rallies every day ahead of the midterm elections.
Trump will not be one of those presidents who only grudgingly tears himself away from the weighty affairs of state to campaign for party lawmakers. And if he suffers the traditional first-term bloody nose from midterm voters, it won’t be because he didn’t campaign hard enough.

3D gun plans website suspends downloads after court ruling:

A gun rights group that has posted plans for 3D guns blocked downloads from its website on Tuesday after a federal judge sided with states that argued the postings could help criminals and terrorists manufacture such weapons.

Judge Robert Lasnik’s ruling didn’t order the plans to be taken down, but temporarily blocked a settlement that Defense Distributed, a Texas-based gun rights organization, and the federal government reached in June that made it legal to post 3D printable gun plans online.
“This is a nationwide ban. … It takes us back to a period of time before the federal government flipped on their policy regarding these 3D ghost guns,” Washington Attorney General Bob Ferguson said on “Anderson Cooper 360˚”
