The world’s largest piece of buckeye candy was weighed at the Ohio State Fair on Thursday, and you’d definitely need a few — dozen — friends to help you finish it.
The buckeye officially weighed in at 339 pounds, defeating the previous record of 271 pounds, according to the Ohio Department of Agriculture
The ambitious creators of the giant piece of candy came from Marsha’s Homemade Buckeyes in Perrysburg. The buckeye was on display in the Bulk Candy tent at the Ohio State Fair.
What exactly goes into a 339 pound piece of candy? The ingredients for this buckeye included:
- 75 pounds of peanut butter
- 75 pounds of margarine
- 10 pounds of chocolate
- 150 pounds of powdered sugar
The Department of Agriculture said Marsha’s is looking to certify the buckeye to be included in the Guinness Book of World Records.
