How Trump landed his biggest trade win yet:

Four days before the deadline, it appeared increasingly unlikely that the United States and Canada would rally to save the three-party NAFTA framework. Intensive negotiations had yielded important progress, but the two sides remained far apart on the most contentious issues.

“It’ll be United States and Mexico,” President Donald Trump said nonchalantly at a news conference last week, just days ahead of the deadline. “We’re very unhappy with the negotiations and the negotiating style of Canada.”

Alyssa Milano: We can’t let Trump and Kavanaugh be America’s face:

If professor Christine Blasey Ford is to be believed, and I believe she is, Brett Kavanaugh is a sexual predator.

If any number of women are to be believed, and I believe they are, Donald Trump is a sexual predator.
Both Kavanaugh and Trump have denied allegations against them. I wish so deeply that the alleged sexual violence — and overall cruelty toward those who are vulnerable — committed by those who wear the mantle of our nation’s government began and ended with these two men. It does not. It exists at every level of our national institutions, and even at agencies working on behalf of our government who are tasked with the sacred duty of caring for childre

Conjoined twins flown from Bhutan to Australia for separation operation:

A pair of conjoined twins have been flown from Bhutan to Australia, where doctors hope they will be able to operate on the 14-month-old girls, who have grown up facing each other, unable to move independently.

Joe Crameri, a doctor at Melbourne Royal Children’s Hospital, said staff were examining the twins, Dawa and Nima Pelden, who are joined at the stomach, with the hopes they will be able to carry out of a life-changing operation to separate them

Twelve days before her due date, Amber Stevens West had a lot of reasons to celebrate. She was the star of a new CBS show, about to welcome a new baby and still had enough energy to wear high-heels on a red carpet.

Though, she admitted the next morning on the phone, her balance had been a little off on the heels.
Production on her new comedy, “Happy Together,” is currently on hiatus while she prepares to give birth to her first child, but Stevens West thinks she could be on set working if she had to be.
“I’d just be sitting down a little bit more,” she says.

Less sleep associated with risky behavior in teens, study says:

The amount a teenager sleeps is associated with how likely they are to engage in risky and suicidal behavior, a new study said.

“Fewer hours of sleep on an average school night [is] associated with increased odds of all selected unsafe behaviors,” the authors wrote, including risk-taking while driving, such as drunken driving, potentially unsafe sexual activity, aggressive behavior and use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs.
Participants’ sleep duration was categorized as eight hours or more, seven hours, six hours or less than six hours and then measured against high-risk behaviors, in the study published Monday in the journal JAMA Pediatrics.
