Our girl Michelle Williams is headed back to Broadway!
According to Broadway Buzz, Michelle is joining the cast of the Tony-winning revival of Once On This Island. Williams is taking over the role of Erzulie beginning on November 30th. This isn’t her first time on Broadway, she has also appeared in Aida, The Color Purple, and Chicago.
Once on This Island musical, which premiered on Broadway in 1990, is based on the novel My Love, My Love by Rosa Guy, and the revival production features new orchestrations by original orchestrator Michael Starobin, joined by AnnMarie Milazzo.
Michelle will play the role of Erzulie through Sunday, June 2, 2019.
