Late last year, Tyler Perry announced that his character Madea—everyone’s favorite feisty grandma—would be retiring in 2019.
After nearly 15 years of starring in cult favorite films like Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Madea’s Family Reunion, and Madea Goes to Jail, the beloved Perrycharacter will be starring in her 10th and final film this spring: A Madea Family Funeral, which hits theaters March 1. She’s also currently on the road for her “Madea’s Farewell Play Tour,” which comes to an end in May.

Despite an eventful final year in Hollywood, Madea still found the time to stop by OprahMag.com for a round of “Plead the GIF.” We asked Madea to answer several questions—and if there were any she’d rather not answer, she had the option to respond using any Oprah GIF. (We just had to keep our fingers crossed she didn’t throw a pot of boiling hot grits our way.)
