Miley Cyrus shared a loving tribute to “The Voice” alum Janice Freeman, who died from an apparent blood clot over the weekend.

As reported by Page Six, Freeman suffered numerous health issues in the past, including lupus, meningitis and cervical cancer, which she had beaten. According to TMZ, she began experiencing trouble breathing while at home Saturday. Her husband Dion performed CPR until paramedics arrived, but she died at the hospital later that day.

While on “The Voice,”  Freeman was one of judge Cyrus’ favorites and was on her team, making it to the top 11.

In her Twitter post on Monday, Miley promised to care for Freeman’s 12-year-old daughter, Hannah.

“To hug you one more time @janicefreeman …. I made a promise to you here on earth and will keep that promise as you watch from heaven. To take care of your precious little girl, my baby sister. To shine light on your husband and mother when days are dark ! I love you,” Cyrus wrote.

She also posted a separate note in honor of the late singer.

“Janice you’re my star! I will never give up on you. Ever. I am no longer your coach , I never was ….. YOU constantly taught me. You’ve been my coach on how to love, on how to persevere, on how to fight for what I want and never let even my own body get in the way. Anything is possible if it’s being done with faith. You are my world. I will never forget you or stop loving you. I am forever yours, Miley,” she wrote.
