For those of you who have been unhappy with the Cleveland Browns’ uniforms since they were dramatically changed in 2015, you may be interested in news that has come from the NFL’s annual meetings in Arizona.

During a press conference with reporters, owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam indicated that the team will have new uniforms in time for the 2020 season. (Tweets are from ESPNCleveland’s Tony Grossi, Nate Ulrich of the Akron Beacon Journal, Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, and ESPN’s Pat McManamon)

According to a story put out on the team’s website, the Browns’ new uniforms will embody a “nothing fancy” mindset, embracing the team’s rich tradition and its unique distinction as the only NFL franchise with orange and brown as its two primary colors.

As to any other details about the uniforms, per ESPN’s Pat McManamon, Dee Haslam told reporters, “You need to be surprised.” One fact the team did confirm on their website: No new colors will be added into the scheme.
