CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) – Jonathon Minard had his young life stolen before it really got started.
“I cant imagine what his mom is going through,” said Shanta Teeters of Carroll County.
Teeters will remember Jonathon as a fun loving kid, out and about in her aunt’s neighborhood.
“He was always walking around Delroy, just out in the summertime and stuff,” Teeters said, “Just like an everyday kid would be.”
Johnathon Minard had been missing since Saturday April 13th, when, according to investigators, he was milking cows at a Carroll County farm, complained of a toothache and said he was going to call his mom.
His mom never got the call.
Volunteers including Teeters uncle joined a search party.
“They’re really upset about it,” Tetters said.
Jonathon’s body was found just after 10:00 am on Friday morning in a shallow grave.
Sheriff Dale Williams of Carroll County stopped short of calling Jonathon’s death a homicide and the sheriff said he would not comment on a cause of death.
Investigators questioned a person of interest, a man last seen with Jonathon, but he was never taken into custody.
