Meet Acorn. He’s the first known deaf dog to be adopted from the city kennel and now his story has inspired a new book.
“DEAF-initely Awesome: The Story of Acorn” is story of overcoming misunderstanding, bonding and adding a special new member to the family.
Acorn was brought to the shelter as a puppy by a good Samaritan. However, he had a hard time adjusting. He couldn’t understand the workers or the other dogs. It wasn’t until Mary came into his life and discovered that he was deaf, that things started to change for the better.
The proceeds from the books sales are donated to the City Dogs of Cleveland.
