Are you feeling less than your best lately? It could be that your life is out of balance according to GRAMMY® Award-winning gospel singer, Yolanda Adams.

“We all know that we need to make sure that our minds and our bodies, and our spirits are in good shape; remember that everything should be in balance,” says the youthful 57-year-old in a new Instagram wellness post.

To be balanced, for her, means to be properly aligned and to have things in proportion so you won’t feel off-center, off-kilter, and out of whack.

“When your body is over-acidic and toxic, your body tells you. It’s like, ‘Okay, I have a headache, or my stomach is hurting,’ or something like that. You’ve got to get rid of the toxins,” points out the founder and CEO of Simply Yolanda, a company that sells the singer’s body washes and other beauty essentials.

Harmful free radicals, associated with cancer, atherosclerosis, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and many other diseases, can accumulate in our bodies through our food, medicines, the air we breathe and the water we drink, reports Live Science.

This is why counterbalancing the negative with positive things, even beyond nutrition, is crucial. In light of this fact, Adams, who freely gives sound natural health advice, doesn’t stop there. She explains that having a healthy balance is threefold, and deals with nutritional, mental, and spiritual health
