In Harriet, Omar plays a free slave named Bigger Long, who captures escaped slaves and then takes them back to their slave owners for a fee. (Yes, you read that right!)
“That’s been going on forever, especially in our community. Some of us will sell out each other for the betterment of ourselves,” he shared.
Then there is a scene in the movie where he does something to Janelle Monae’s character that will have you in shock!
