es are needed after Gov. Mike DeWine and Director of the Ohio Health Department, Amy Acton issued a “stay-at-home” order for all Ohioans.
3News has complied a list of businesses and industries classified as essential based on the 23-page order issued by state officials:
- Health care and public health workers
- Law enforcement, public safety, first responders
- Food and Agriculture
- Energy( i.e. electricians, petroleum workers, etc.)
- Water and wastewater
- Transportation and logistics
- Public works
- Communications and Information Technology
- Community bases-government operations and essential functions
- Critical Manufacturing
- Hazardous Materials
- Financial Services
- Chemical
- Defense Industrial Base
The order will remain in effect through at least April 6. At that time, state officials will re-evaluate and determine if an extension is necessary.
