es are needed after Gov. Mike DeWine and Director of the Ohio Health Department, Amy Acton issued a “stay-at-home” order for all Ohioans.

3News has complied a list of businesses and industries classified as essential based on the 23-page order issued by state officials:

  • Health care and public health workers
  • Law enforcement, public safety, first responders
  • Food and Agriculture
  • Energy( i.e. electricians, petroleum workers, etc.)
  • Water and wastewater
  • Transportation and logistics
  • Public works
  • Communications and Information Technology
  • Community bases-government operations and essential functions
  • Critical Manufacturing
  • Hazardous Materials
  • Financial Services
  • Chemical
  • Defense Industrial Base

The order will remain in effect through at least April 6. At that time, state officials will re-evaluate and determine if an extension is necessary.
