Josh Cribbs responded Wednesday to the vicious hit he suffered Sunday from Steelers linebacker James Harrison.
The Browns wide receiver tweeted several times about the hit , which is part of a league-wide discussion on the issue.
“I have no bad will towards LB James Harrison. That’s what he’s suppose to do knock people out, it’s what makes him one of the best,” Cribbs tweeted .
The NFL ruled that Harrison’s hit on Cribbs was legal because Cribbs was a ball carrier. However, Harrison was fined $75,000 on Tuesday for his hit on Mohamed Massaquoi.
After Sunday’s game, Harrison said that he plays to “hurt” people, but not “injure” anyone. Cribbs tweets showed that he agreed with Harrison’s statement.”
“I don’t believe he intentionally wants to injure anyone, but it is a part of the game,” Cribbs tweeted.
