MSNBC has declared the Wisconsin senate race for Republican Ron Johnson.
They have also declared Indian-American Nikki Haley (R) the winner of the gubernatorial race in South Carolina, after a campaign marked by racist attacks.

UPDATE 9:15p ET: Tea Partiers allegedly harass Black students at polling stations
Tea party activists in South Carolina are allegedly intimidating black college students and other black voters at the polls, according to the South Carolina Democratic Party. Early this morning, self-identified tea party activists showed up at a polling station near Benedict College in Columbia, “basically harassing students—telling people not to vote and generally making voters feel uncomfortable,” says Keiana Page, press secretary for the state Democratic Party, who said that the party’s legal team is currently investigating the reported incident at the historically black college. Democrat Chris Coons easily won Delaware’s Senate race Tuesday over Republican Christine O’Donnell, a tea party favorite who struggled to shake old cable-show footage in which she spoke out against masturbation and talked about dabbling in witchcraft as a teenager. Read more here…

UPDATE 8:00p ET: First openly gay mayor elected in Kentucky
Lexington voters turned out incumbent mayor Jim Newberry on Tuesday, opting for a fresh start with millionaire Jim Gray.
Gray, 57, a construction company executive who has been Lexington’s vice mayor for four years, defeated Newberry, a 54-year-old attorney, by a solid 6-point margin. Read more here…
