Police spokesman Sgt. Sammy Morris says 57-year-old William Calderwood was taken into custody late Wednesday on an aggravated arson warrant issued earlier in the day.
Fire department spokesman Larry Gray says there’s sufficient evidence that Calderwood was involved in the fiery Jan. 25 blast on the city’s west side. Fire investigators had said Tuesday that possible accidental causes were ruled out and that they believed the act was intentional.
