Ohio State football coach Jim Tressel announced during a Thursday morning press conference in New Orleans that all five players who are suspended for the first five games in 2011 will return for their senior seasons.

Ken Gordon of the Columbus Dispatch tweeted the news from the press conference Thursday morning.

Tressel also said that the players would not have been allowed to go on the trip if they planned to leave early for the NFL.

After the NCAA handed down the suspensions for Terrelle Pryor, DeVier Posey, Dan Herron, Mike Adams and Soloman Thomas for selling team memorabilia and receiving discounted tattoos, many speculated that they would jump to the NFL instead of sitting out half the season. But Tressel said that all five want to return next season.
