Super Bowl XLV takes place this weekend in the cavernous, state-of-the-art Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, Texas, although sadly for Cowboys fans, they’re not one of the teams playing. But the action on the field, when the Green Bay Packers take on the Pittsburgh Steelers, is secondary to the action off the field, as Super Bowl Weekend kicks off the year’s first big social celebrity events.

Stars of sports, TV, music and screen will be heading down to Dallas – along with a Super Bowl-sized group of strippers and sex workers, apparently – so it’s fortunate that there is going to be some heavy praise happening as well. Fred Hammond is performing as part of Super Saturday, and Mary Mary and Marvin Sapp are part of the lineup for an annual Super Bowl gospel show. But that’s not all – Diddy, Prince, The Black-Eyed Peas and Dallas native Erykah Badu are all part of the celebrity mix.

Here’s what’s happening and where.
