Undoubtedly one of the company’s biggest events ever, TV One announced their upcoming releases for 2011 with their first ever “Upfront” event.

Over 200 industry executives braved the icy, New York City streets today to see network stars like Toccarra, LisaRaye, Roland Martin, Tatyana Ali, and a host of others at the luxurious, world-renowned Cipriani Hall in midtown Manhattan.

The event, which was hosted by Chris “Kid” Reid of Kid ‘N Play fame was a celebration of the network’s most successful year ever (2010), and previewed this year’s programming strategy which begins with their Black History Month campaign, Way Black When.

The month-long series accompanies viewers on a journey through what many consider to be the “Golden Age” of Black culture – the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s with hosts such as Sinbad, Niecy Nash and Chris “Kid” Reid. For many, it will be a trip down memory lane, while the younger generation will learn about the decades before them.

In addition, TV One’s most popular show, “LisaRaye’s: “The Real McCoy,” will make its return for another season; as will Donald Trump’s show, “The Ultimate Merger,” which will now star Toccarra, who replaces last season’s star, Omarosa, as the bachelorette.
