Under the legislation, minors sending other minors nude pictures of themselves through a cell phone or a computer would be classified as an “unruly child,” meaning that juvenile authorities could get involved.
And kids forwarding pictures of naked kids to other minors would face misdemeanor charges in juvenile court.
Similar to a bill sponsored by a House Republican that had languished for more than a year, the sexting bill was sponsored by Rep. Connie Pillich, a Cincinnati-area freshman Democrat expected to face a tough reelection challenge this November.
