During her soul-stirring set, the ‘Make It Like It Was’ singer revealed the harrowing details for her recent battle with and recovery from a near fatal brain tumor. Her words roused the City of Brotherly Love-reared crowd so much that audience members were running up and the down that aisle and appeared to be catching the Holy Spirit.

“I share a lot with my audiences,” Belle told BV Newswire during the tour stop. “If you come to a Regina Belle concert, you’re liable to get anything. I believe in transparency. I don’t believe you can help anybody unless you’re transparent. I think I’ve become more transparent since my transition into gospel music.”

The gospel concert events are free in most cities and are held at churches across the country and at festivals in select cities. This year’s concert series is headlined Belle and new-school gospel music dynamo J Moss, who joined the jaunt for second consecutive year.The McDonald’s Inspiration Celebration Gospel Tour has been drawing audiences from across the country for four years. The latest incarnation of the tour previously featured top gospel acts such as CeCe Winans, Smokie Norful, Vanessa Bell Armstrong, Kierra “KiKi” Sheard, and Myron Butler and Levi.
