If Mother Nature deems it to happen, then the Indians will begin their 2011 season on a cold Friday afternoon at Progressive Field against divisional foes, the Chicago White Sox.

The 2011 Indians have lots of questions, and the belief that, if perhaps things fall into place for several players, then the season won’t be the very long and drawn out affair that it was in 2010.

First, the return from injuries for two of the team’s stars will play a big part in how far the team will be able to go. Grady Sizemore showed signs in spring that he can come back, and Carlos Santana, the young catcher with a batting stroke pure as the driven snow, was making all the plays, though his spring average at the plate wasn’t the greatest.
