Known as a secular, R&B artist, Montell Jordan, 41, is now making a change for God. He has joined a church in Atlanta, Georgia and has launched a new record label.

Jordan has been most known for his hit song “This Is How We Do It.” He has worked with and produced for many well known music artists such as Whitney Houston, Deborah Cox, and Boys II Men. He has also appeared in films including The Nutty Professor and The Fighting Temptations. These works can be noted as some of the highlights of Jordan’s career. But there is another endeavor Jordan has recently embarked upon that can bring even more rewarding and gratifying highlights.

Jordan has chosen another path for his career; he has decided to now take his talents towards ministry. Jordan has become a member of Victory World Church in Atlanta where he is a part of the worship ministry. Through this ministry he has launched a new record label, Victory World Music. Shake Heaven is the ministry’s debut album which is projected to be released in late August.

Dennis and Colleen Rouse pastor Victory World Church that has approximately 9,500 members. The ministry is known for being multi-cultural and multi-generational.

Jordan had this to say about the ministry and its music, “Victory World Church is a place where worship is a lifestyle, therefore the music that comes from here is a reflection of the lives that people are living… My only objective at Victory and with this project is to create an atmosphere of worship where God truly inhabits the praises of His people.”
