Gospel Legend Sandi Patty has a lot to celebrate after receiving her 40th DOVE AWARD at this year’s awards ceremony.  Patty won for the “INSPIRATIONAL ALBUM OF THE YEAR” category for her latest album, THE EDGE OF THE DIVINE as well as a tribute from THE DOVE AWARDS to reflect and honor what the songstress has contributed to the industry which reflects her gospel icon status.  This is the icing on the cake with her recent induction into the Gospel Music Hall of Fame which reflects the singer’s 30 years in the business with winning 5 Grammy Awards, 4 Billboard Awards and dubbing her “The Indiana Living Legend Award.”    “What an honor to work at something that I have loved for 30+ years. Music and singing has always helped me share my heart, share my faith, to share celebrations and disappointments. Singing has been my “voice” and I’m blessed beyond words to share my story thru the medium of music,” gushes Patty.

With all of this recent excitement Patty also is on the heels of releasing her 6th book AROUND THE TABLE WITH SANDI PATTY:  FAITH, FAMILY AND FOOD this summer through her own Stylos Entertainment label.   As a singer that has always been well known for her approachable persona Patty chose to author this cook book with those she cherishes most – her family – husband and her eight children.   Cooking has been a form of expression for Sandi and her family for so many years and ‘Around the Table’ was a logical title as it was such a natural place for her and her family to have a central meeting place to celebrate life thru discussion and dining.  With Sandi’s recent life-changing weight loss, she is sharing her favorite family recipes with an updated spin to support her healthy lifestyle.   “For better or worse, food has been a big part of my story.  As I’m reshaping my view on the importance of food in my own life, the ‘stories’ that have been created because of gathering together around the table have become so much more important!” expresses Sandi.  Patty wanted this to reflect the family effort and with the collaboration of all her family there is a gorgeous array of many recipes.

Patty will be on the road with her already SOLD OUT “Sandi Patty & Friends Tour” continuing promoting her book and will ready herself for an October 2011 release of her first full Symphonic Pops album, under the conduction of Maestro Jack Everly.  If that doesn’t seem to be enough for the 4 octave vocal range singer, Patty will also unveil her first starring role headlining in the musical “Hello Dolly” with the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, co-starring with Tony Award winner Gary Beach in January 2012.
