Since its initial founding in 1897, and later incorporation in 1907, The Church Of God In Christ (COGIC) has always been at the forefront of producing great leaders; Men and women who value and know the importance of giving back to their communities and service to the church. In celebration of this rich heritage, the International Auxiliaries In Ministries Convention (AIM), under the leadership of Superintendent Linwood Dillard, Chairman, introduced the inaugural “20 UNDER 40 COGIC ACHIEVERS AWARD,” during the 2017 Summer Convention in Charlotte, North Carolina.

This prestigious award was established to highlight twenty (20) talented, educated, and young COGIC men and women between the ages of 25-40 who have demonstrated outstanding achievements in their local communities and church, through academia and their careers. After their initial nominations, the honorees were selected by a special panel of judges based on their leadership merits and significant accomplishments in the areas of law, government/politics, business, education, communications, technology, entertainment and ministry.
