Yolanda Adams is first up to honor Aretha Franklin.
The Gospel music powerhouse will pay tribute to the Queen of Soul during this year’s Black Girls Rock! celebration that will air on BET Sunday, September 9th.
Also scheduled to take part in the tribute are Tamia, H.E.R., Victory Boyd and Jacqueline Green of the Alvin Ailey Dance Theater.
“BLACK GIRLS ROCK!™”Awards honors the groundbreaking achievements of Black women who have fearlessly broken barriers in the areas of art, business, entertainment and community service. Created by celebrity DJ and women’s empowerment advocate Beverly Bond, “BLACK GIRLS ROCK!™” will premiere on Sunday, September 9, 2018 at 8:00 P.M. ET/PT on BET.
