Gospel Music Channel produced the official music video for “Are You Listening: A Love Song for Haiti”. It will premiere in a one hour special presentation on GMC, immediately before GMC’s airing of the global “Hope for Haiti Now” telethon. The commercial-free special will be hosted by Lisa Kimmey-Winans and will feature exclusive interview footage with gospel music dynamo Kirk Franklin.

The results from the 25th Annual Stellar Awards were announced on January 16, 2010 from the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee. Hosted by Kirk Franklin, Vickie Winans and Donnie McClurkin, the televised event was highlighted by multiple performances, including songs from Mary Mary, BeBe & CeCe Winans, Byron Cage, Dottie Peoples, Richard Smallwood, Israel Houghton, James Fortune, Smokie Norful, Hezekiah Walker & LFC, Pastor Shirley Caesar, Crystal Aikin and Vanessa Bell Armstrong.

While the information of the choirs’ demise is news to us, it’s definitely not news to G.A. I’m told the members learned that the end was near in a recent choir rehearsal where Tye broke the news. Apparently, many didn’t take the information well at all, which lead some to suspect that’s why only six singers appeared alongside him on BET’s Celebration of Gospel taping two weeks ago.
