Businesses along Northfield Road that have deteriorated over the years, especially with the closing of Randall Park Mall in 2008, could get a boost. The transit line is one option RTA is exploring as part of a plan to extend its Blue Line from where it ends at the Warrensville-Van Aken station in Shaker Heights.
