Hixson’s Inc. in Lakewood helped Northeast Ohioans get in the spirit of Easter by hosting their 46th annual Easter Egg Show.

Customers turned out Monday to marvel at the egg artwork from area artists. Many visitors came to just look but ended up purchasing decorative eggs to take home.

Hixson’s Inc. owner Bill Hixson shared that there is something special about the shape of an egg.

“It’s supposed to be the most beautiful shape in the world,” said Hixson. “Ancients believed that it had magic. The egg was rebirth.”

The Easter Egg Show has grown over the years, from nearly 100 eggs 46 years ago to around 2,000 eggs this year.

Visitors were impressed with the egg collection and the detail involved in the artwork.
