Controversy has been brewing around Reach Records CEO and Grammy® winning rapper

Lecrae Moore, 34, for quite a while.

Many have taken aim at the Christian MC for rejecting the “Christian rap” label, assuming he is distancing

himself from Jesus for mainstream appeal. But Lecrae says, not so.

“A lot of people think that because I don’t like the title Christian rapper that I’m somehow ashamed of my faith,”

he said during an interview on SiriusXM Satellite Radio show “Sway In the Morning” hosted by DJ Sway

Calloway.

During the conversation, the rapper discussed his upcoming Anomaly album, how he handles groupies, as well

as other personal questions the host tossed his way.

“I have no qualms about being ashamed of what I believe in or embarrassed to say Jesus or none of that type

of stuff,” said the “Nuthin” rapper, adding, “but I don’t like music to be categorized.”
