Prayer changes things. When 29-year-old health worker Amber Vinson contracted the Ebola virus after caring for an infected patient, while media talked, intercessors prayed. She is now Ebola-free.
The Dallas-based nurse, who is the granddaughter of a Church of God In Christ (COGIC) District Missionary, had a faith-filled support system.
In an October 15 Facebook post, a New Life Church of God In Christ representative wrote, “I need everyone reading this to intercede on her behalf.”
The Toledo, Ohio-based church, led by Bishop Edward and First Lady Sheila Cook, also prayed that Vinson’s “fiancé, mother and anyone else she had contact with not be affected and that Amber break forth healed delivered and set free.”
