Paula Patton may star in the “Sparkle” remake. She has been offered a role by Salim and Mara Brock Akil – the same team behind her most recent film “Jumping The Broom.”
She did not say whether she would be playing the title character Sparkle (originally played by Irene Cara), Sister (originally played by Lonette McKee) or Dolores (originally played by Dwan Smith).
If you’ve never seen the 1976 version, the film follows a girl group that experience turmoil after one of their members turns to drugs and another achieves her desired fame all by herself.
