M o’Nique hasn’t shown much interest in acting since, she portrayed Mary Jones, one of the meanest mothers ever seen on the silver screen, in Lee Daniels’ “Precious,” — she has instead focused on hosting BET’s “The Mo’Nique Show.” Now, more than two years after winning a supporting actress Oscar, Mo’Nique has settled on her next feature project, as the late night talk show host is in talks to play a supporting role in the indie dramedy “Bumped.” The film follows five strangers coming to grips with their differences as they face an interminable layover at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. In addition to wooing Mo’Nique, the film’s cast already includes Kellan Lutz, Camilla Belle, Alex Gonzalez, Katie Cassidy, and Xenia Siamas. Stephen Herek is directing from a Lizzy Weiss’ script.
