The jury has found Anthony Sowell guilty of murder. He is eligible for the death penalty.

After deliberating for two hours on Wednesday and the entire day Thursday, jurors  decided serial killer Anthony Sowell’s fate late Friday morning.

There was a brief delay delivering the verdict. Once the jury foreman handed Judge Ambrose the forms, he called for a brief recess so he could review the forms and make sure they were properly filled out.

The jury had pages of forms and counts to sift through before reaching a decision in the high-profile case.

Sowell showed no emotion as the judge read the jury’s verdict.

The bodies of eleven women were found in and around Sowell’s Imperial Avenue home in late 2009.
