Visit historic downtown Hudson for the 7th Annual Taste of Hudson Sunday and Monday. Sample dishes from over 20 of the area’s best restaurants, participate in family activities and enjoy non-stop entertainment. In addition to delicious food, you’ll find vendors from the Hudson Farmer’s Market, a wine and beer tasting garden, and crafts, activities and health screenings for children. Don’t miss the fine arts fair and exhibitor tents. Admission is free and food selections are priced under $6. Sunday’s forecast calls for scattered showers and thunderstorms with highs in the low 80s. Mostly dry and cooler weather is store Labor Day. Highs will hit the mid 70s.

The Great Geauga County Fair runs from Sept. 1 to Labor Day in Burton. Come experience more than 13,000 exhibits, 2,000 animals, rides, music, hundreds of vendors, fantastic fair food, games and grandstand shows including wrestling, a truck and tractor pull, demolition derby and the US FMX Championship Series. Highs will hit the upper 80s Thursday and Friday. A cold front will bring a chance of showers and thunderstorms Saturday and Sunday before temperatures cool to the mid 70s with partly sunny skies Labor Day.

The Creston Labor Day Car Show will be held Sunday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Main Street in Creston. Enjoy good food, raffles, a 50-50 drawing, bake sale, farmers market and door prizes. Trophies will be awarded to the Top 30 cars. The show continues rain or shine, so bring your umbrellas… The forecast calls for a chance of showers and thunderstorms with highs in the low 80s.

The Cleveland National Air Show takes off Saturday through Monday at Burke Lakefront Airport. In addition to the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the lineup includes the U.S. Army Golden Knights parachute team, aerobatic planes and daily performances by School Time Jet Bus, the world’s first jet-powered school bus with spectacular 75-foot flames. On the ground, you’ll find interactive displays, kid-friendly activities, planes and more. Fans can tour unique aircraft, help pack a parachute and take a picture with a pilot. Gates open at 9 a.m. Advance general admission tickets are $19 for adults, $12 for children ages 6 to 11 and free for children 5 and younger. Admission costs $2 more at the gate.

Northeast Ohio’s annual end-of-summer party, the Cleveland Labor Day Oktoberfest , kicks off Friday at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds in Berea. Come enjoy bands, beer and brats as well as art, music and dance. Attractions include the Cleveland Pops, food from famous Cleveland chefs and restaurants, a Microbrew Competition, Sugardale Wiener Dog Races, 5K run and 1 mile walk, Bavarian Strong Man & Woman Competition, Cornhole Tournament and tons of fun for kids! Activities are too many to list, there’s even a VW bus show and polka lessons! Admission is $10 each day of the festival. Children 12 and under are free. A $25 Four Day Pass is also available. Parking is free. The forecast calls for hot and humid weather Friday. Scattered thunderstorms are likely Saturday evening and Sunday. Labor Day will be much cooler, near 70 degrees under partly sunny skies.
