The temperatures have started falling and furnaces are beginning to click on, but you may not be singing the heating bill blues this winter…

Even though the time to think about saving money and winterize your house is now, there is some good news when it comes to prices this year.

According to First Energy electric prices will be about the same this winter as last and if you heat with natural gas the news is even better. Dominion gas estimates prices will be down about 10% from last winter.

But you might as well save even more by winterizing your home. Easy things from putting plastic around windows, to door draft stoppers, to better insulation.

And for those that can afford it new windows and doors, it can even get you a tax credit.
