Worship,” debuted at No. 4 on Billboard’s Top Gospel Album chart. On this album Myron decided to take a different route, the multi-award winning artist really showcases his songwriting skills and voice on this effort. Now sit back, relax, and get a bit of 7up with the four-time Stellar award winning artist, Myron Butler.

  1. Describe Myron Butler in three words. Passionate, energetic, and moody.
  2. What was your inspiration for “Worship?” The inspiration was kinda really double fold. Number one, I am a worshiper and that’s something I’ve always been, but I’ve never really showcased on any of the other records. So, that and just being obedient to God, it’s something that God told me to do some time ago, but I was a little apprehensive about it.
  3. What was your most memorable moment in the making of “Worship?” The night of the recording. During the recording, God just really showed up in a matter I’ve never seen. Just the presence, the atmosphere…that moment is what stood out!
  4. I know you’ve had the opportunity to work with a lot of different artists, what do you enjoy most being an artist or being behind the scenes? Oooh… that’s good. I’d have to say…can I say both?..lol. I enjoy different aspects about both of them. From an artist standpoint I enjoy the fact that when i’m on stage I get a chance to share the music and giving the people what God has given me to say for that moment. Just the effect of the music on the people, that’s pleasing from an artist standpoint. From a producer standpoint, it’s creating the picture.. developing something that no one has heard before, and working with other artists to create a canvas they can paint on. Those are the two things I enjoy about both of them, I don’t know if I enjoy one more that the other…they’re equal to me.
  5. Who are some artists you’d like to collaborate with in the future? Karen Clark Sheard, Cece Winans, Marvin Winans, and Vanessa Bell Armstrong.
