Although Olivier Martinez confirmed his engagement to Halle Berry in March, the Oscar winner herself has kept silent on the subject – until now.
“Who knew [I’d get engaged again]?” she said with a laugh to Extra on Saturday, during her first red carpet appearance since Martinez proposed. “I swore it off, right? Never say never, people!”
Martinez, 46, and Berry, 45, met while shooting 2010′s “Dark Tide” and soon became an item off-screen.
Martinez commissioned the engagement ring last year from his Paris neighbor, Robert Mazlo. It’s “a one-of-a-kind piece and cannot be replaced,” the jeweler told People magazine in March.
The actress was previously married to baseball player David Justice and singer Eric Benét.
