Three nights away from the midnight May 3rd opening of The Avengers, theaters are gearing up for anticipated Marvel Madness.

Cinemark and Regal are hosting Marvel Marathons, showing each of the five Avenger prequels (Iron Man, The Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor and Captain America) all day Thursday, leading up to the midnight release of the hotly anticipated film.

One ticket (price varies at theaters) covers the cost of all the showings, plus concession specials.

Atlas Cinemas is holding a similar event, showing the prequel screenings each day this week, beginning Tuesday

Screenings at some theaters have already sold tickets in the hundreds, and many movie complexes plan to add extra showings after midnight if necessary.

Tickets can be purchased now for Thursday, Friday and Saturday showings of The Avengers at the box office, or online through the theater company brokers, and websites like Fandango.
