An organization that encourages peaceful neighborhood gatherings against violence and other crimes celebrates 29 years – 24 in Cleveland – tonight.

National Night Out Against Crime will hold five different events all at the same time from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. throughout Cleveland.

The events will feature free food, police and public safety vehicles, free health screenings and activities for the entire family.

Organizers say the main event will be held at John Adams High School, 3817 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd., but will also have four other locations.

Neighborhood event locations:

• Cudell Recreation Center, 1910 West Boulevard

• Steelyard Commons, I-71/Jennings Freeway

• Fatima Family Center, 6600 Lexington Avenue

• Save-A-Lot/Forman Mills, E. 123rd & Lakeview
