The John Carroll University Blue Streaks football team are Ireland to play in theGlobal Ireland Football tournament(GIFT) in Dublin, Ireland. On Friday, the Blue Streaks will be taking on the St. Nortbert Green Knights in Donnybrook Stadium in South Dublin. GIFT will offer a live stream of the game for local fans wanting to see the team in action.
All week, Anthony D’Aurizio, a senior and starting fullback/running back and Jack Corrigan, a sophmore offensive lineman for the Blue Streaks, will be blogging about and sending pictures of what they and their teammates are experiencing during their time abroad for Channel 3.
The team left for Ireland this morning via New York. And here’s our first entry:
8/28 – 8:21pm After a long 5 hr layover at JFK we have finally boarded our plane for Dublin! Some guys on the team have never flown international before or have never been on a plane until this morning so everyone’s amped for the trip! Can’t wait till tomorrow, see you guys in Dublin!
