Plenty of people get to relax at home because of Labor Day on Monday. If you’re looking to get outside the house and spend time with family and friends there are many events going on in Northeast Ohio.

The Cleveland National Air Show continues on the lakefront in Cleveland. Big crowds have been down at Burke Lakefront Airport all weekend to watch the planes whiz by. The gates open again Monday at 9 a.m. and events are planned until 4:45 p.m.

There’s another big event downtown. Navy Week continues on Labor Day. More than 1,000 sailors are in town to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812. You can tour Navy ships beginning at noon today. It all takes place at the Port of Cleveland, downtown.

The Taste of Hudson continues Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 6 p.m. This is their eighth annual event.

Oktoberfest is in full swing at the Cuyahoga County Fairgrounds. It opens at noon on Monday. They’ve got food, art, music, and of course – beer.

If you’re in the mood for some sweet musk melon, head to the Village of Milan. It’s in Erie County over near Cedar Point. The Melon Festival continues on Labor Day. The festival opens at 10 a.m. There are rides, games and tons of food.

You can also head to Saint Rocco’s Italian Festival. That’s on Fulton Road in Cleveland. It’s a big carnival. Rides and games open at 1 p.m. Monday afternoon.
