Cedar Point announced its new ride Tuesday, after revealing clues to its Facebook Fans for the past few weeks.

The ride is called WindSeeker, a swing ride that spins its riders 30 stories above the ground, according to a news release.

Riders sit in two-person swings, held back by individual overhead lap bars as well as a seatbelt, and are spun at speeds between 25 to 30 mph. The swings will reach out almost 45 degrees from the ride’s tower.

WindSeeker’s tower reaches heights of 301 feet, and rises almost as high as the first hill of the roller coaster Millennium Force, the release said.

WindSeeker will be located near the current location of “Ocean Motion” swinging boat ride. Construction is expected to be complete for next summer.

WindSeeker will cost about $5 million to build and is manufactured by the Dutch-based company Mondial.

The park’s operator, Cedar Fair, also announced on Tuesday that Kings Island near Cincinnati, Wonderland near Toronto and Knott’s Berry Farm near Los Angeles will also be getting the WindSeeker ride.
