Mitch and the Marys sit down to talk about the preparation for their upcoming performances.  Mary Mary has hired Laurieann Gibson to help them on their choreography for their big arena shows.  MMQuote: “She’s like the Tom Brady of the choreography world.”  The girls need to cram in their rehearsals for the Essence Music Festival, which is coming up in two weeks in between all their other commitments and performances… and Tina being eight months pregnant.  To add to the already hectic schedule, Tina and Erica will be bringing TJ and Krista (and maybe, possible all going to see “Sister Act 2”?).  Thankfully, Laurieann shows up before Tina and Mitchell can get into yet another argument about the separation of business and family.

Tina has on her support garments and is ready to go!  MMQuote: “Really? I’ve gone from manager to DJ.  Seriously, people this is not ok.”  As soon as the Marys start in, Laurieann goes hard.  She is pushing Tina and Erica to really perform and give the audience a true performance.  MMQuote: “Laurieann Gibson is killing us.  She’s kicking our butts into shape, do you hear me?”  In the middle of rehearsal, Tina gets a phonecall from Teddy regarding a behavior issue with Meela.  Rather than handle her business later, Tina halts rehearsals leaving Erica to practice with Laurieann alone.  It is nonstop for the Marys as they go from dance rehearsal to listen to their band perform some new arrangements.  While at the studio as Erica predicted, Tina’s tenacity has caught up to her.  MMQuote: “I need Erica.  I need Erica immediately.”  Tina is a bit nervous when she experiences the same symptoms she experienced when she had Meela prematurely.  MMQuote: “She had one premature baby.  She can’t have another.”  Luckily, the symptom Tina is nervous about it something Erica experienced when she pushed herself while pregnant with Zaya.  Since Tina doesn’t have reason to be so nervous and alarmed, she insists on pushing through and doing at least two more songs.

Once Tina gets home she can’t hide the fact that she is purely exhausted, but she can hide what happened at the studio… at least for now.

On the second day of rehearsal, Tina is two hours late for her 10 a.m. start time.  MMQuote: “I’m just giving you this disclaimer.  This won’t ever happen again on my time or my dime.”  Tina wants Erica to get started with Laurieann and work out the kinks on her own.  But how does one work out the kinks in a dance sequence without the other dance partner?  MMQuote: “Maybe I should take a break from the Mary Mary business and focus on the Erica Campbell business.”  Tina finally arrives three hours late to a very angry Erica and a pissed off Laurieann, who doesn’t seem to want to hear the semi-valid excuses Tina is dishing out right now.  Bottom line, everyone’s time is valuable… not just Tina’s.  MMQuote: “It is absolutely disrespectful.”  As if this rehearsal was not filled with enough interruptions and setbacks, the husbands start to arrive.  Laurieann definitely has he work cut out for her today!
