TV One’s popular reality series R&B Divas Atlanta returns to the network for its second season premiere Wednesday, May 1st, 10PM/ET. In celebration, TV One is branding the month of April “Destination Divas” and will pack the network’s schedule with a mix of new original specials, iconic movies and sitcoms plus encores of R&B Divas season one.
The most exciting special will be the Top R&B Divas of All Time — an one hour special highlighting some of the most accomplished and beloved female singers in R&B history. Profiled divas will include Whitney Houston, Patti LaBelle, Aretha Franklin, Diana Ross, Chaka Kahn, Janet Jackson, Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey, Beyoncé and Rihanna. The special airs Saturday, April 27th at 9pm/ET.
On Saturday, April 13rd, TV One will roll out the R&B Divas Pre Party, an one-hour special that will bring everyone up-to-speed on what’s happening with the show’s original cast. Viewers will also get to check out a preview of the upcoming R&B Divas Atlanta season, which adds Angie Stone and former Xscape member LaTocha Scott to the line-up.
TV One will also pay homage to an artist who inspired generations of aspiring divas: Diana Ross. On Saturday, April 20th, the network will air an encore presentation of Diana Ross: Live in Central Park.
