In celebration of the safe return of Amanda Berry, Gina DeJesus and Michelle Knight, Radio One Cleveland and 19 Action News teamed up Thursday night for a Victory Vigil March.

Dozens of community members gathered at 1400 West 25th Street in Cleveland to show support for these strong women.

The Victory Vigil started with the crowd signing welcome home cards.

A couple hundred were in attendance, including the Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland.

“I just wanted to come and show my support too because I’ve been watching it this whole time and I wish them the best,” said one community member.

“Just be there. Show the support, that’s all we can do whether we can see them or not. They’re free,” said a Clevelander.

And there were red ribbons everywhere. “The red ribbon is the girls favorite color. They wore red ribbons in their hair in schools when they were here and thank God they’re back,” said a former classmate.” read on
