First, it was Kierra Sheard versus herself in a dilemma about tattoos, which she personally sees as a biblical “gray area.” Now it’s the Sheard men sparring over whether “hell” should be deemed a cuss word.

During Bishop J. Drew Sr. and J. Drew II’s debate, the conversation got hot as fire and brimstone.

So is hell a cuss word? If you ask the Sheard family patriarch, it absolutely is, and it’s one that no child of his will use in his presence—something viewers learned in the latest episode of BET’s The Sheards.

The uproar began with a gentle debate over who should produce Kierra sheard’s new music for maximum exposure: J. Drew or super producer Rodney “Darkchild” Jenkins, who has the industry credits and name recognition to possibly get the gospel singer more attention.

Bishop Sheard expressed his belief that going with the bigger name was the better choice. His son did not agree, however, and expressed his passionate view on the matter.
