Cleveland Indians’ pitcher Chris Perez is the subject of an investigation regarding a “situation” at his home here.
A search warrant was executed at the home of Chris Perez and his wife by Rocky River police Tuesday morning.
Police tell WKYC that multiple jurisdictions were involved.
In a noon press conference, Rocky River Police Chief Kelly Stillman confirmed that a package was delivered to the home at 19850 Parklane Drive in Rocky River on Monday where Perez and his wife, Melanie, and two small children are living as renters.
By midafternoon, Rocky River police confirmed that the package contained marijuana.
Cuyahoga County Auditor’s Office records show that the home is owned by the Parklane Trust, with Dominic George listed as the trustee, as of April 23, 2012.
