A jury found Cleveland City Councilman Zack Reed guilty in his OVI case Tuesday afternoon.

Reed, who has served the second ward since 2000, was stopped at East 9th Street and Rockwell Avenue in Cleveland on March 5.

Police said he failed to stop at a light before turning. He failed a field sobriety test and smell of alcohol, police said.

Reed faces a maximum sentence of six months in prison.

This was Reed’s third arrest for operating a vehicle under the influence. In 2008, he served 10 days in jail for his second drunken driving conviction
