An emotional Steve Harvey, 56, sat down on the set of his NBC talk show “Steve Harvey” for a one-on-one interview with BET’s “Mind, Body & Soul” host, Dallas mega pastor, Bishop T.D. Jakes.
Discussing what it means to live life without Limits, Harvey expressed his respect and thankfulness “for God, for church, for everything He’s done for me, for everything I prayed for that came true.”
With red eyes, the visibly choked up comedian and host of “Family Feud” fought back tears as he told Jakes, “It’s a lot in my life that the only explanation I can give you is Him.”
These days, with all his career success, it is easy to forget about Harvey’s humble beginnings. In the late 80s, while struggling to get his career on track, the husband and father told PEOPLE he was homeless.
