1. WINTER STORM AFTERMATH
It’s getting better: Atlanta drivers can recoup their vehicles today. You know, the ones they abandoned by the score during Tuesday’s nightmare gridlock after a couple inches of snow. Officers will ferry them in four-wheel-drive vehicles back to spots where they left them. Just to sweeten the deal the state will provide up to five gallons of gas and give them a jump start too to get them on the road again.
2. BIEBER ARREST
Another week, another courtroom: Justin Bieber is in trouble again. Call it the B-side to last week’s episode in Miami, where he was booked on charges of drunken driving, resisting arrest and driving with an expired license. In his latest brush, J-Beebs is accused of smacking a limo driver in Toronto about a month ago. Yesterday, he popped into a Toronto police station for booking and was out in time to attend last night’s Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game. It’s good to be a celebrity, eh?
3. BRAIN DEAD WOMAN
Knowing when to say goodbye: It was a heart-wrenching decision for Erick Muñoz, pulling pregnant wife Marlise off life support. The agony was compounded by a court fight the family had to go through to allow her to die. It sparked a national debate over who’s alive, who’s dead and whether the person is carrying a baby changes things. They spoke to CNN last night, saying they wanted their story told to save other families the same nightmare.
